# Web SDK - VideoCodecType

## VideoCodecType enum

A bitmask enum coarsely describing a video codec.

For H.264 codecs, this is the "profile": <https://superuser.com/questions/489087/what-are-the-differences-between-h-264-profiles>

For H.265 codecs, this is just an "H265" value for now.

## Enumeration Members

| Member   | Value          | Description                                                                                                      |
| -------- | -------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Baseline | <code>1</code> | Indicates the H.264 "Baseline" profile.                                                                          |
| H264     | <code>7</code> | Bitmask for possible H.264 profile values. That is, you can check (codecType & H264 != 0) to detect H264 codecs. |
| H265     | <code>8</code> | Indicates an H.265 codec.                                                                                        |
| High     | <code>4</code> | Indicates the H.264 "High" profile.                                                                              |
| Main     | <code>2</code> | Indicates the H.264 "Main" profile.                                                                              |
